It was an epic weekend in Buena Vista, Colorado at the 2013 CKS Paddlefest Freestyle competition. The feature was fairly small and it took a lot of finesse and skill along with power to pull off impressive tricks. The Ottawa XL went off this weekend with some serious competition amongst the athletes. Kayakers from around the world were fighting for their chance to qualify for the 2014 Whitewater Grand Prix. The event combined big wave freestyle with a high-water boater-x race. The best overall after the two events qualifies for the 2014 Whitewater Grand Prix.
