It was an awesome weekend at the Moose River in Old Forge, New York for the 2013 King of New York Moose Race. It was a very close race with some great competitors and it ended with the crowning of a New Whitewater King. Demshitz Jared Seiler paddled raced a sea kayak to become the New KING OF NEW YORK!!! Check out this extremely well done video highlighting the 2013 Payette River Games at Kelly's Whitewater Park in Cascade, Idaho. Not only is the park recognized by many of the top athletes as one of premier whitewater destinations, there is plenty of other things to do there as well. Definitely on my short list of must-visit destinations.

The Slave River is an amazing Canadian river and every year on August long weekend, the Fort Smith Paddling Club organizes the Slave River Paddlefest. This festival has a ton of events for paddlers of all ability levels from a big air surf competition (The Edge King comp) to rolling clinics and even non-boater activities. Check it out!

Wow. This video makes the Zambezi Festival, held in October 2012, look insanely fun. We are talking HUGE water on the Zambezi river with tons of playboating, river-running, rafting, drinking and just great freaking times. I'm sitting here in the U.S. right now, dreaming of African whitewater. Will make it there one day.

It was an epic weekend in Buena Vista, Colorado at the 2013 CKS Paddlefest Freestyle competition. The feature was fairly small and it took a lot of finesse and skill along with power to pull off impressive tricks. The competitors came to throw down though and they posted some HUGE scores including Dane Jackson's record setting 1,900 points! Read on for all of the results.
