June 9th - Nashville World Kayak Rock Island Open Event 3 & 4, Rock Island State Park, TN -  WK Rock Island Freestyle Cup. Everyone should meet in the gravel parking lot at the Powerhouse at 9:30 CST. First event will be the Regular Freestyle competition at 10:30am. This event should last 3 hours and be over just in time for lunch. There will be a 2 hour break for lunch and then the second event, Downriver Freestyle, will commence at 2pm. Everything should be finished up by around 6 or so. Afterwards there will be some burgers and dogs being grilled at the boat ramp as well as an awards ceremony with awesome hand-carved kayaking trophies.

June 6-9 - Vail Mountain Games, Vail, CO
Professional and amateur athletes from around the world converge upon the mountains and rivers of Vail to compete in eight sports and 24 disciplines for more than $100,000 in prize money. Summer 2013 sporting events include steep, freestyle, sprint, and full contact kayaking, rafting, mountain, road, freeride, and slopestyle biking, world cup bouldering, amateur climbing, fly fishing, sprint and cross stand up paddling and trail, mud and long dsitance running.
